Harney Academy: Keeping The Tradition Alive

The results of our school are well reflected in the success enjoyed by many of our students at the Local, Regional, National and World Championships.
However, to us, these achievements only measure one aspect of a student's level of accomplishment. At the Academy we work hard to provide opportunities for students to develop at a personal and professional level. • Liam Harney • "A statement often repeated by parents in our school is that the Harney Academy is one big family. The senior and champion dancers are always eager to help a class or a student. As a result these champion dancers reap the reward of enjoying the success of a new student as if it were their own. Parents are eager to help the school and each other with trust and loyalty. Students learn to share and encourage each other as beginners. It is an honor as an Irish American to be part of the continuing molding and sculpting of this dance form."
• Sally Harney • "Music and dance is my life. This love of Ireland and tradition was passed on from my grandparents to my parents and onto me. Now, I want to pass this joy and passion to all of our students to carry with them the rest of their lives."
